Lipa Noi, Samui

On one of Thailand’s most beautiful islands, Baan Ora Chon lies in the quiet Lipa Noi region of Koh Samui. The villa is 10 minutes from the ferry port of Nathon, where you can find markets and plenty of local restaurants. The white sand beaches of Lipa Noi are amongst the island’s few year-round swimmable beaches. In the summer low tide season, there is the added advantage that the tide can go out almost to the reef, leaving an expanse of white sand exposed as a summer playground. This tide opens the beach up to all sorts of activities, such as beach volleyball or exploring rock pools and collecting shellfish. Channels for swimming and for sea kayaks to access deep water remain, even at low tide. From the villa and beach, you have outstanding views of the famous Five Islands, Ang Thong Marine Park and out across to the mainland. With its western positioning, it’s positioned perfectly for Samui’s legendary sunsets.
